Well, it's been a great week at camp McG. Gerald did a smashing job with the worship. Mark brought the word. Steven made it enjoyable for all ages, and if I do say so myself, the sound wasn't too bad. good camp all in all.
Soon to come....

Comfortable...or am I

So, I had some thoughts today. As I go away to college, I know that life will be different. But this is a whole new journey. It's both exciting that I'm moving away and scary at the same time. My bubble is about to pop. But I am often reminded in the Bible about people who went from a cozy status to a very uncomfortable status. Looking throughout the book of Acts, you can read story after story of disciples and followers of Jesus who became "uncomfortable." Many thrown in prison, or shunned from cities or worse. I can learn from these people though one thing. All were cruelly martyred for one simple reason, they would not renounce their Christian faith. WOW. How amazing is that. I'm not saying that I am going to face death in college, but I will face times of trial and hardship. But what an example to live up to. The shoes are big. Are YOU willing to fill them?

Some thoughts to a Monday...
It's Monday. A new week. What happened last week we'll never get back. So, lets start fresh this week. If you haven't already, take a few minutes to thank God for a fresh start. Then, continue on in the week. Happy Monday.

Going Fishing...
So I just got back from fishing and it was a blast. Had a little trouble starting out though. Eventually I pulled in some snook. It just took trying several different baits until I found the right one. Had some thoughts too. As Christians we are commanded to fish for souls and spread the gospel. Sometimes though, it can get frustrating and difficult, just like fishing for fish. But just like it the sea, you have to try different baits. Now I don't want to use the term baits in leading sense. It's more like a different approach. People respond differently to different things, just like fish chase different lures. We just gotta keep trying. It's like they say, "You can't catch a fish if your lines not in the water."
